Background to Language Learning
Build the conceptual foundation for explaining language learning, learner differences, evidence, and teaching implications.
This hub brings the course learning units into one project. After Unit 4, students can move directly from a keyword, topic, classroom problem, or teaching idea into Research Studio to see how an emerging idea can become a Proposal Preview. Research Journey remains optional for students who want a longer development history across units.
Units 1–4 are active in this consolidated project. Unit 5 will be added here without creating a new Cloudflare project.

Connect approaches, methods, contemporary orientations, classroom design, technology, and defensible pedagogical decisions.
Move from abstract SLA theories to concrete learner evidence, mechanisms, competing explanations, teaching decisions, and transfer.
Design context-sensitive TEFL through communicative competence, skills pedagogy, curriculum alignment, materials, assessment, and technology.
Evidence, access, identity, learner diversity, motivation, anxiety, technology, ethics, and professional responsibility.
The main pathway now goes directly to Research Studio. Begin with only a keyword, topic, classroom problem, or teaching idea; the Studio helps make the proposal structure visible step by step. Research Journey remains available as an optional workspace for students who want to document how an idea changes across Units 1–5.
